Autocar have published new details of TVR’s planned re-launch including Cosworth power, a Gordon Murray designed platform, and other music-to-Jalopnic-ears news such as “6-speed manual as standard”. Best of British to them!

Requirements to be a proper TVR:
1. Batshit insane
2. Nothing is where it should be
3. It runs more often than not
4. Batshit insane

TVRs should conform to the three Fs - fast, fibreglass, and fucking frightening. This definitely looks promising...

Looks pretty conservative for a TVR.

Yeah, but is it just one of those “it could possibly look like this maybe!” images cooked up by the magasine ?

I hope they will replace the Ford/Aston Martin/Lexus style front opening.

You dropped all of the important key words. “Gordan Murray” (synonymous with “not stupid heavy) “cosworth” and “manuel.” Too bad we won’t get it in the US.

3* But not too much more often than not.

I have a thing for TVR. Something about the looks, the wide body and the insane interiors. However, Claxon?? Not the same as a Chimaera or Cerbera.

Hm I was thinking the 4.0 I6s. But a 5.0 V8 in something around 2300 lbs wouldn't be a bad return.
